What industrial work looks like
Industrial jobs aren't just "bigger residential". Scale brings different challenges: continuing site operations, multiple stakeholders, planned downtime, contractor coordination, and higher documentation expectations.
- Warehouse and factory ACM roof removal (often staged in bays)
- Plant and equipment decommissioning with ACM lagging or panels
- Boiler rooms, switch rooms, and service voids
- Multi-building sites — yards, sheds, outbuildings
- Partial demolition prior to redevelopment
What we deliver on industrial jobs
- Up-front documentation — licence and insurance certificates, generic SWMS, site induction compliance.
- Site-specific Asbestos Control Plan — covering scope, controls, exclusion zones, decontamination, emergency procedures.
- Traffic management plan where vehicle movements intersect the work zone.
- Independent air monitoring coordinated through a licensed assessor where required.
- Clearance certificate and waste tracking on completion, structured so it slots into your asbestos register and contractor compliance file.
Industrial asbestos removal — FAQs
Can you keep our site operational during removal? +
Often, yes. Most industrial removals are staged — controlled work zones, traffic management plans, after-hours scheduling for the highest-risk phases. We work with your site supervisor to scope the staging up front so production downtime is planned, not surprise.
Do you handle traffic management on shared sites? +
Yes. For sites with vehicle movements (warehouses, distribution centres, plant yards), we include traffic management in the scope — exclusion zones, pedestrian routing, vehicle holds during high-risk operations. We coordinate with your site induction and PCBU obligations.
What about air monitoring for large jobs? +
We arrange independent air monitoring through a licensed assessor for any job where it's required or where it adds genuine assurance value — large-scale ACM roof removal, work near occupied areas, or post-clearance verification. Reports are issued direct from the assessor to you.
Can you scope multi-stage decommissioning? +
Yes — plant decommissioning, partial demolition, full site clear. We can phase removal alongside dismantling so ACM is dealt with at the right point in the programme, not at the end when it blocks everything else.
Do you provide SWMS up front for contractor pre-qual? +
Yes. Generic SWMS, site-specific SWMS, licence documentation, insurance certificates of currency, and our standard Asbestos Control Plan template — all available before mobilisation so you can run them through your pre-qualification system.
What scale of job is too small or too big? +
Too small is rarely a problem — we'll quote small repairs alongside larger jobs. Too big almost never is either: Elite holds both A-Class (friable) and B-Class (non-friable) licences, so we're equipped for the full range — plant decommissioning with friable lagging, large-area bonded ACM roof removal, multi-stage site clears.
Talk through an industrial job
Industrial jobs almost always need a site walk to scope properly. The call is where we set that up — site induction requirements, access windows, programme overlay.
- ✓ Initial scope conversation by phone
- ✓ Site walk arranged at a time that suits operations
- ✓ Written quote, contractor documentation pack, and programme proposal to follow
